The new ICAC/iKeepSafe Incident Response Tool helps schools prepare and respond to technology related incidents with effective protocols and incident management. There are technology related incidents that happen every day in our schools. These range from harassment and bullying to sexting to threats to students and staff made through social media. Schools and law enforcement must work cooperatively to address the myriad of issues facilitated through technology. This free-to-use Incident Response Tool, originally created by iKeepSafe and updated by the National Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program, provides the platform to begin discussion and create an action plan that will include law enforcement when appropriate. This tool provides schools the necessary steps and information to effectively plan, react and respond to incidents involving students and staff.
