This presentation will show how hands-on lessons in cryptology and cyber intelligence increased confidence and curiosity for K-12 girls. Attendees will get an overview of the curriculum that was used to teach 12 sessions for 4th grade, middle school and high school students at an all-girls school. The sessions focused on using cipher wheels; making and breaking codes; encryption and decryption; understanding ports, protocols, and services; finding internet-connected devices; finding vulnerabilities and more. The presentation will show how working across administration, department chairs, and STEM, teachers contributed to the success of educating the girls in cybersecurity.
